So.. I am back from the Hove festival. It was a great experience, though now I got a cold and my left leg hurts. Day by day ?

Monday:
We (as in Cath and I) met up with Tonje and Matthijs so we could go and get our bracelets that would let us inside the festival. First we went to the wood entrance, but they told us to go to the main entrance, which was on the other side of the area. When we got there, they told us we had gone to the wrong place, so we had to go back again. Some hours later we had finally gotten the red bracelets. FINALLY.

First we watched Pirate Love at the Amfi stage. We were first row. They’re ok, we’ve seen them before. Then Tonje and Matthijs went home again, and me and Cath watched Howlin Rain. From the back, cause we weren’t that interested.

Then we saw Turdus Musicus in the Pink Tent. (Smallest stage). They’re awesome. We were front row there too, and people were crazy!

Later we saw a bit of The Cool Kids and then Les Savy Fav, which was crazy too. The singer were crazy. Then we saw a bit of Jay-Z, but it got too fucking boring.

End of day 1.

Tuesday:
We were early to the Amfi stage today, we waited about 2 and a half hour for Black Tide. They were fucking awesome. We talked to them after the concert, and I got their autographs. :D We met Øystein too, a guy that we know from a Norwegian page thingy, he has, or used to have, his own radio thingy.

After Black Tide we, as in Linda (demolition), Kristine (Mychemqueen), Cath and I went to see MGMT. They’re so cute :]  We were first row at the main stage, which has a capability of 15.000 ppl O_O

When MGMT was finished we got back to the Amfi Stage, cause we wanted good places when Avenged Sevenfold were to play. A bit later Coheed & Cambria played, but Tonje thought the mosh pit got to aggressive, so we went out again. We saw this kid get beaten up by the security too, fuck those pro sec ppl. There were several kids taken out of the crowd too, and the medic ppl were all over the fucking place.

When C&C were finished we waited for Avenged Sevenfold. We had this big fucking poster that said “Love it or Die – Avenged Sevenfold” with us too. We were about 6th row, and we were so damn exited. When we waited we sang Almost Easy and A Little Piece Of Heaven :D When they got on ppl were going crazy, and before the first song ended I couldn’t breathe, so I passed out and fell, but Tonje and Matthijs helped me up again.

And when they had played Unholy Confessions, Jhonny and Syn gave their guitars to the ppl and was about to leave the stage, but Shadows just “Hey, wait, I promised the kids one more song before we leave” And then they played A Little Piece of Heaven. :D

Shadows got Jhonny to sing the beginning of Seize The Day too. He’s a good singer o_o And when they played Walk by Pantera, ppl were fucking crazy. I stayed in the crowd while the others left. Linda came back, but we lost each other again. Everyone screamed “RE-SPECT-WALK!!!”. It was sick.

After the concert we stayed by the fence to the backstage area, and we were shouting for them. The Rev came out and saw us, and he just sent a big smile and walked back again. Syn came later but he went straight to the car that were taking them.. somewhere. He just looked funny at us and waved, but it seemed that he, and the rest of the guys had to leave quick.

I fucking destroyed my leg at the concert. I had to go to the medic ppl, and they put on this bandage on my foot, and said I had to take it easy the rest of the festival (which I didn’t).

End of Day 2.

Wednesday:
At first we were standing in a line to take out money. We waited one fucking hour just to take out 600 norwegian crowns. We met Annette, Marthe and Andreas too. Marthe was gonna see Flogging Molly and Bad Religion, while half of the rest of us were going to see Band Of Horses and Beck.

I got a cool tattoo too. A dragon on my arm, but it’ll disappear in 2 weeks or so.

At first we saw Animal Alpha. It was an Ok concert. Not to exciting. Then me, Annette and Cath went to see Band Of Horses. We got there so early that we could stand first row. At the main stage. (15.000 ppl). The concert was GREAT.

After the concert we had to move out of the pit, cause obviously there wasn’t allowed with cameras on Beck, however, they didn’t check, so I had my camera back inside :D

We were at the fucking 3. row in the middle! :O Beck was 15 minutes late too xD There was this über cute kid that came out on the stage though, he couldn’t be more than 3 years old or so. Ppl said that he was Beck’s son.

Beck was AWESOME! I got, um what’s it called, well he looked at me at the same time I looked at him for one moment xD They had these big silver balloons that formed BECK, and I got the fucking C!!! :D

Later that night we saw Dimmu Borgir. I’m not a big fan of them, I almost fell asleep too xD

End of Day 3.

Thursday:
We just relaxed in the morning. The first concert we were going to see was Bullet For My Valentine, and they didn’t start before 5.30 at the Amfi stage. They were good. I left before they were finished though, cause I wanted to see Yeasayer. They’re awesome. There weren’t that much ppl there. There is this camera there that moves over the crowd, and the singer noticed it and said “That camera is sick, isn’t it? That must be some Norwegian shit.” XD

Babyshambles canceled the show, or Pete did, the band were in Norway, but they didn’t play. The next day they did though. I think it’s Amy Winehouse’s fault XD

Rest of the day we just walked in the shops and stuff.

End of Day 4.

Friday:
The first concert didn’t start before 5.30 this day either, it was Don Juan Dracula. They’re funny. They had these big balloons and fireworks and confetti and the whole shit.

After that we were suppose to see Satyricon, but they were 45 minutes late, so we just waited for the Used instead. They played at 9. We were in the crowd even though I was not suppose to cause of my foot, but I didn’t care.

Bert was funny, he had a pink crown and found a pack of condoms and blew one of them up to a balloon XD After the concert I met two of the ppl from The Used, I have no idea of who though, one with snakebites and black hair, and the other one I can’t remember.

I didn’t get the autograph though, cause they had to leave really quick, but I got a pic of the one with the piercings, not with me in it, but just him xD

End of Day 5.

All in all it was a great festival. Loads of 1. row concerts.

I’m gonna post some pics later, but not today I think, cause I’m pretty tired.

I am leaving for the Hove Festival today :D
It means I won’t be online for about a week.

I’m waiting for Cath  to arrive so we can eat and then leave, we will be living the same place as me and Marthe did last year, only that this time I will be there a week, not only 2 days!

I’m taking my camera with me, and I see if I can keep ppl here updated.

I was suppose to get my nose pierced today, but suddenly my dad said no.. But I went and got 4 new piercings in my ears instead! :D Though it's many hours ago, it still hurts. Not much, but a little tiny bit.

Two more in each ear.

Besides that.. nothing has really happened. When we got to Arendal today, there was loads of boats, bit ones. Probably military ship. Some russian, some norwegian, some from the netherlands. It has been som kind of exercise.. It was cool to look at them. Haha.

The Quart festival is gonna stop. It's sad :( Big artist like Muse, David Bowie ect. has played there, but now they don't have enough money to have the festival anymore. The Hove festival is just around the corner though! :D 16 days left!
