March 21, 2008Let it snowBut not this much! All yesterday and all today it has been snowing like crazy. This night it was a snowstorm. I had to get to work today, and just by driving there, we saw cars everywhere, threes on the road, sometimes we couldn't see a shit, cause of the snow. This reminds me of last easter, when we snowed inside. It was 2 meters then, it's only 30 cm or so, right now. The wind is blowing outside, and I don't konw if we'll be able to get to Arendal tomorrow. But since there was nothing else to do today, I've practised guitar and bass. I can the intro to "Sweet Home Alabama" now. And alot of new songs with bass. :) xx Maria.

March 15, 2008Concert: Kaizers Orchestra, March 14
Then we got to the, I can’t really call it a venue? Anyways, we met up with my sister again, and we were FIRST in the line, but 4 preppy girls got in front of us -_- But then, 1 hour later at 8 the doors opened, and we ran inside, and we were lucky to be totally in the front, a tiny bit to the left for the stage. Support: Pétur Ben. He’s a really awesome musician from Iceland. He’s really nice to talk to too ^_^ He played about 5-6 songs before he went off stage. Then we waited for about 45 minutes, and the Kaizers got on. They started off with “Maskineri” from the newest album, also called “Maskineri”. It’s Norwegian, cause they’re Norwegian. The concert was awesome! They played 14 songs and went off, but came on again and played 3 more. Then the concert was over, but we stayed a bit, cause I’d lost a part of my camera, and we couldn’t find it. Broken camera, yay. Then the people started take down the instruments and all, and we asked if we could get something, and I got an set-list (It’s that it’s called? The paper with the songs and all) And my sister got one of the… I donno the English word for it. Then we went out to the merch, cause I’d made a car, just a small good-for-nothing car, and my sister had written “Kaizers Nightliner” on it (Nightliner is their tour bus) And we gave it to Pétur Ben, the musician from Iceland, and he promised to give it to Kaizers! :D And he signed a cd to me, it says “Thank you, Maria. Take care, Pétur Ben. ’08, Arendal” :D Then finally we got outside, and people starts coming up to us and asks if they can buy the stuff we got, and even some asked to just touch it! xD Then one of the local newspapers shows up and asks to interview us, that takes some more time, then finally we could get home. And my back hurts like crazy, cause people pushed and jumped like crazy the whole time, and at some times we couldn’t breathe in the front xD And my feet’s hurt too. But I’ll survive XD It was an awesome concert! I have loads of pics:
